Empower Her G.O.L.D. Mind Program Workshop
Heart of Gold Shelter invites women ages 18 and older who have been impacted by domestic violence, incarceration, homelessness, or other life challenges to participate in the Empower Her G.O.L.D. Mind Program. This free job readiness and empowerment workshop is designed to help women build confidence, develop workforce skills, and prepare for employment opportunities.
Participants will receive practical guidance on resume development, interview preparation, workplace professionalism, goal setting, and personal growth. Eligible participants may also receive job readiness resources, professional attire assistance, and referrals to community support services. Food will be served at the workshop
Workshops are held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Foodbank, 618 South Street, Franklin, VA 23851.

Since 2020, Heart of Gold Shelter has served more than 1,285 women, providing clothing assistance, hygiene support, job readiness services, and empowerment resources throughout Western Tidewater and surrounding communities.
Community agencies, churches, probation officers, counselors, shelters, and social service organizations are encouraged to refer eligible women.
