Zack Miller is the founder of Hatch and host of Hampton Roads Business Weekly on ABC-13 in Norfolk. Hatch gives entrepreneurs the tools they need to create, launch & grow viable businesses through data-driven techniques, workshops & mentorship. Miller also created Start Norfolk, a platform for ideas to come to fruition and the State of the Startup Community Address, which showcases the region's businesses. 

Miller has been accorded with several awards including a Top Entrepreneur in Virginia in 2012 and the Lead Hampton Roads Leadership award in 2014. In August of 2013, Miller was named along with Norfolk as a Top City for Entrepreneurs by Entrepreneur Magazine. In 2015, Miller was selected for the 2015 Inside Business Power List – the 75 people who shape and influence Hampton Roads, VA,.

4 years ago, trying to start or grow your company in Norfolk-Virginia Beach could have been a challenge. Instead of trying to go door to door to find a solution, Hatch created it. Hatch fills the holes left in the market by standard economic development. Rather than striving to convince 4 one-thousand-employee companies to relocate to Norfolk to promote economic development, we're flipping the script and focusing on starting 1000 four-employee companies, supporting homegrown business. We pride ourselves on providing the entrepreneurial ecosystem necessary for startups and young companies to flourish, while helping formerly underrepresented groups (Veterans, Women, and Minorities) gain access to the tools and resources they need to grow.
