
Come spend a day at this annual wholesome, family-friendly outing where visitors can see how older generations lived and worked. The museum's sawmill, planer mill, and grist mill run throughout the day, and craftspeople demonstrate traditional skills with items available for sale.
Highlights include: Over 50 model trains running inside the main building, a petting zoo with farm animals, a children's scavenger hunt, face painting, and corn shelling activities. The Tidewater News There are also hayrides, storytelling in the one-room schoolhouse, and demonstrations of old-fashioned corn-cob pipe making.
Food is available on the grounds, including Steve Ivey's famous BBQ, Brunswick stew, hot dogs, and other snacks and beverages.
