Paul D. Camp Community College's inaugural Community College: The Platform for Change Gala honors former Virginia Delegate Sam Glasscock and former Virginia Senator Fred Quayle for their continued support of education in the Commonwealth. The proceeds from this Gala are to support the College's Glasscock-Quayle Annual Fund and the Rural Virginia Horseshoe Initiative  a progressive program designed to help provide recent GED recipients with a PDCCC education and help prepare these hardworking individuals for well-paying careers so they can champion and help build the new Virginia economy.  The Gala is being catered by Smithfield Station. Dinner will feature succulent oven roasted pork loin donated by Smithfield Foods, as well as Smithfield Station's award-winning Best of the Bay crab cakes. Sponsorships are still available.
