Job Description
Position: Project Manager Construction Location: Southside Hampton Roads, Virginia

Overview: As a Project Manager, you will report to the Construction Group Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall project coordination taking a project from conception through commissioning primarily in heavy industrial or commercial environments. The successful candidate is well organized, can communicate effectively on both a technical and non-technical level, works well with other employees, possesses a strong work ethic, and always presents themselves in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Job Functions of a Project Manager: Responsible for overall project coordination through the project lifecycle including estimating, planning, design, bid and award, construction, commissioning, and close out. Project management responsibilities will include delivering projects on time and within budget. Must excel at coordinating internal resources as well as third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. The Project Manager will work closely with engineering and construction teams in an industrial environment with a focus on safety, quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction. Advanced project planning and scheduling to enable on-going operations of the site will be a critical aspect of the position. The successful candidate will embrace a culture of safety and will be expected to gain a detailed understanding of sitespecific safety programs, operational procedures, and policies.

Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of project management experience managing projects in an industrial plant or commercial setting. Minimum Education: A four (4) year engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university is desired. Combinations of professional experience and education will be considered in lieu of a four (4) year engineering degree. Additional Requirements: Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background investigation for Federal and Private Sector clients. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
